Rwanda, represented by Ambassador Dr. Charles Rudakubana, and Angola, represented by Chief of General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces, General Altino Carlos José dos Santos, discussed strengthening defense cooperation between the two countries.
On March 15, the Rwanda Embassy in Angola announced that Ambassador Dr. Charles Rudakubana paid a courtesy call to General Altino Carlos José dos Santos.
The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation between the defense forces of Rwanda and Angola, the Embassy added.
Rwanda and Angola have good relations and cooperation agreements in crime prevention, investigation, prosecution, and various other cases.
President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço of Angola is currently mediating in issues between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Both countries also have agreements in the areas of mining and diplomacy, including visa exemptions for their citizens.
